TAs a continuation of the Oman Hydrogen Centre’s (OHC) commitment to raising awareness and continuing to contribute as a knowledge hub in the Sultanate of Oman. As a knowledge partner of the Green Hydrogen Summit and Exhibition Oman organized by Birba, we are pleased to announce that the first session of our initiative (the Technical Talks Series) was delivered on September 13th, 2023, in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
The focus of this session is to discuss the lessons learned from Europe in this field, explore the opportunities, and discuss the challenges of implementing this solution for hydrogen storage in our geological conditions.
The session reflected the main remarks and conclusions of the EU’s ‘Hystories’ project by the CEO of Geostock, Pascal Baylocq. Additionally, Nasser Al Rizeiqi from the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, who delivered an informative talk, covered the comprehensive assessment of underground hydrogen storage in the Sultanate of Oman.
Sausan Al-Riyami (Sc.D.), Director of OHC, emphasized that this is the beginning of the OHC-focused Technical Talks Series, and we are looking forward to delivering informative sessions in close cooperation with our local and international partners. The sessions will take place every two months, with a high possibility of being delivered online to keep them as public as possible.
