Under the auspices of his excellency Eng. Said Hamoud Al Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, the third Oman Science Festival 2022 got underway.
“Together we live the Passion of Science” was the festival theme for its six days which took place in The Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre Started on the 10th of Oct and ended on 15th of Oct.
The Oman Science Festival’s opening ceremony featured a film that served as an introduction to the event, as well as a tour of all 24 corners which included 70 of the festival’s activities with the guest of honor of the event and the attendees. These corners included several hands–on scientific demonstrations, seminars, lectures, forums for discussion, exhibitions of scientific findings, and scientific theater in addition to various competitions and hands-on scientific experiments.
There were corners devoted to skills, health, and education in addition to commerce and trade. Additionally, there were 75 scientific developments on show, including ones related to food security, artificial intelligence, the environment.
Where the Oman Hydrogen Centre took part in offering introductory workshops that covered a wide range of subjects on hydrogen energy, its varieties, manufacturing stages, and storage techniques. The Sultanate is focusing on clean and renewable energies, which include green hydrogen, in addition to their present and future uses and applications. Also demonstrated was an Omani idea for subterranean hydrogen research. For entertainment and education, the visitor took part in interactive science challenges and carried out several experiments that explained the process used to produce hydrogen.

أقيم المهرجان في مركز عمان للمؤتمرات والمعارض الذي بدأ في العاشر من أكتوبر وانتهى في الخامس عشر من أكتوبر واستمر لأيامه الستة بموضوع “معًا نعيش شغف العلم”
تضمن حفل افتتاح مهرجان عمان للعلوم فيلمًا كان بمثابة مقدمة للحدث، بالإضافة إلى جولة في جميع أركان المهرجان مع ضيوف الشرف والحضور. احتوت هذه الأركان العديد من العروض العلمية والندوات والمحاضرات ومنتديات المناقشة ومعارض النتائج العلمية والمسرح العلمي بالإضافة إلى مختلف المسابقات والتجارب العملية. كما كان هناك أركان مخصصة للمهارات، والصحة، والتعليم، والتجارة. وكذلك 75 ابتكاراً علميًا معروضًا، بما في ذلك الابتكارات المتعلقة بالأمن الغذائي والذكاء الاصطناعي والبيئة.
حيث شارك مركز عمان للهيدروجين بتقديم ورشات تعريفية تضمنت العديد من المحاور حول طاقة الهيدروجين وأنواعها ومراحل الإنتاج وطرق التخزين. بالإضافة إلى الاستخدامات والتطبيقات الحالية والمستقبلية، وتوجهات السلطنة إلى الحياد الكربوني الصفري بما في ذلك الطاقات النظيفة والمتجددة التي تتضمن الهيدروجين الأخضر، كما تم عرض اختراع عماني لأبحاث الهيدروجين تحت الأرض. ومن باب المتعة والثقافة، شارك الزائر بمسابقات علمية تفاعلية وقام بعدة تجارب علمية بما فيها طرق إنتاج الهيدروجين.
