Al Buraimi University hosted a scientific symposium titled “Research Chairs in Promoting Education, Scientific Research, and Knowledge Transfer” under the patronage of Her Excellency Prof. Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqiyah, Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation.
The event, held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, was organized collaboratively by the Ministry, Al Buraimi University, and the National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science.
The symposium featured engaging discussions on the significant contributions of research chairs, including UNESCO and ICESCO Chairs, with notable input from Prof. Dr. Heba Aziz, who leads a UNESCO Chair.
Ms. Ghada Mohammed Al-Kalbani represented the Oman Hydrogen Centre by engaging with esteemed thought leaders and stakeholders in the fields of education and innovation.
These discussions highlighted the pivotal role of research chairs in fostering international collaboration, driving innovation, and facilitating knowledge transfer. The event also showcased best practices and explored the potential of research chairs to advance education and scientific research globally.
