GUtech announces Master of Science program in hydrogen economy and technology

The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) has been officially approved to launch a new Master of Science program in hydrogen economy and technology. This is considered as a critical turning point for GUtech’s dedication in promoting learning, research, and innovation in sustainable energy that can help drive the growth of the hydrogen sector.

This programme was designed for professionals and aligned along the value chain from generation of electricity, hydrogen production, transport, distribution, and storage to reconversion and efficient use in a variety of applications; as stated by Professor Dr. Michael Braun, the Rector of GUtech.

This Programme was designed with the working professional in mind will contain a mix of theory and practice that can be experienced through a real hydrogen demonstrator containing all components of the hydrogen value chain as the Deputy Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Armin Eberlein, stated.

We value this step towards hydrogen future as we believe it will accelerate the transition towards a hydrogen economy in Oman as the graduates of this program will be influential figures who help build Oman’s hydrogen industry, promote good change, and aid in the world’s shift to more sustainable and effective energy sources.
