Oman Hydrogen Centre (OHC) team from the German University of Technology in Oman participated in the 39th ISWA 2023 World Congress that was held for the first time in the Middle East in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman partnered by Oman Environmental Services Holding Company SAOC “be’ah”. It is started today 30th of October till 1st of November 2023.
This year the theme is “Global Action Towards a Net-Zero Future”. ISWA World Congress 2023 featured high-level plenaries and a comprehensive scientific program highlighting various topics such as protecting human health and environmental quality, mitigating climate change, driving resource efficiency and the circular economy, adopting new technologies.
Dr. Sausan Al-Riyami, Director of OHC delivered a talk about “Techno-Economic Assessment for PV Waste Recycling in the Sultanate of Oman” within Theme 4: New technologies adoption & sector transformation towards a circular economy beside key international speakers.
Our team members Dr. Hadi Basma (Senior Researcher Guest) and Eng. Anfal Al Barwani (Assistant Researcher) presented two posters about the “Potential of recycling of ZnO Nanorods and Magnetic ZnO Photocatalyst in Real Industrial Produced Water Treatment in the Sultanate of Oman”.
