9th Arabic Workshop for R&D and Sustainability for Arab Women in Muscat

Oman Hydrogen Centre (OHC) was presented at the Arab Forum for Scientific Research and Sustainable Development in its 9th session, which is hosted by the Sultanate of Oman on January 30th and 31st of this year. OHC Director Dr. Sausan Al-Riyami presented the hydrogen journey in the Sultanate. She also highlighted the main challenges that research Centers might face and recommended several enables to overcome those challenges.

 

The workshop resulted in important recommendations:
– To develop action plans to enhance the contribution of institutions, scientific research centers, and researchers in Arab development issues,

-To enable partnerships between universities and research centers with production and development companies in Arab countries.

– To encourage Arab researchers and innovators and link them with specialized companies by strengthening cooperation between Arab institutions concerned with education, training and scientific research, with the aim of transforming scientific innovations into actual national economic projects, and enhancing the role of the private sector in supporting and financing scientific research activities.
– To link scientific research with sustainable development.
