Green Hydrogen Summit in Sultanate of Oman

We are thrilled to announce our pivotal role as the Knowledge Partner and Chair for the Future Leaders Program at the Green Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition in Oman, held in Muscat from the 12th to the 14th of December 2023. This event highlights our unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions. In a significant stride forward, we proudly formalized our dedication by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with bp Oman.”

Our active participation included:

  • Technical Hydrogen Talks: Our engagement was dynamic, featuring two impactful talks in the Tech H2 sessions by our colleagues Dr. Hadi Basma, who presented “Catalyzing sustainability: ZnO nanorods in photocatalysis of Produced Water” for Green Hydrogen Synthesis, and our colleague Eng. Yousuf Al-Siyabi, who discussed “Hydrogen Production Through Methane Pyrolysis Using Bubbling Fluidized Bed Reactor Method.”

 

  • Energy Executive Circle: Aiming to collaborate on advancing the global energy transition, the event provided an excellent opportunity to network and engage with global leaders and experts in championing sustainable fuels for the future.

 

  • Women in Future Energies: A platform for women to come together, network, and share insights in support of future energies.

 

  • European Union Session: Organized by the EU-GCC Green Transition Cooperation Project, in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Sultanate of Oman, this session brought together distinguished speakers, including H.E. Kadri Simson, EU Commissioner for Energy, and H.E. Eng. Mohsen bin Hamed AL Hadrami, Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Oman. The aim was to forge strategic collaborations between the EU and the Omani government, focusing on the potential of green hydrogen and furthering the global energy transition.

 

  • Green Hydrogen Oman Summit 2023’s Swiss Delegation Event: Explore sustainable energy insights and engage with Oman-Swiss experts on green hydrogen, energy strategies, and more, followed by an open discussion & networking lunch.

 

  • Roundtable Breakfast Meeting for the Dutch Hydrogen Strategic Consortium: Organized by The Netherlands Embassy in Muscat to meet with relevant stakeholders from the two countries in the energy sector and discuss collaboration opportunities under the bilateral MoU between Sultanate of Oman and the Netherlands in the field of Green Energy.

 

  • Japanese Delegation from Kyushu University: Coordinated with great support from the Japanese embassy to explore the potential for cooperation between us.

 

The Green Hydrogen Summit Oman (GHSO) is indeed one of the largest Hydrogen events in the MENA region, bringing together global energy and policy experts, technology providers, and industry partners to foster networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration. GHSO23 features a range of insightful events designed to support the advancement of sustainable energy. The summit provides a platform to promote dialogue among decision-makers and key stakeholders.

 

As an Omani together with our key partners for sure will turn vision into action and lead the sustainable transition.
